About the SIEQ
The Québec Studies Centre (CEQUIL), previously located at the Institute of Romance Languages and Literatures at Leipzig University, was transferred to the Centre for the Study of France and the Francophone World (FZ) at the beginning of 2022 and now pursues its activities as the "Section interdisciplinaire des études québécoises", or SIEQ. The section is funded by the government of Québec. Its goal is to spark interest in Québec and Canada, to intensify contacts with Canada and, in particular, to promote university exchange. Hence, the SIEQ will continue to provide advice on study, internships and research stays in Québec to anyone who is interested. It also supports Québec-related events and promotes networking and cooperation with Québec partners.
